Why Our NAID AAA Certification Matters

We understand. You see a bunch of capital letters and a logo and your eyes glaze over. But stay with us – this is important for you and your business!

What is the NAID?

The National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) is the worldwide trade group for information destruction companies. Its mission is to champion for the protection of personal information and regulatory compliance through secure disposal by qualified providers. Paper shredding companies, data destruction companies, and suppliers of products and equipment can all join the NAID.

What is the NAID AAA Certification?

Used by thousands of members around the world, the NAID AAA Certification Program is a voluntary program for members of the NAID. Developed by security professionals, the program audits members for the destruction of paper and data in both mobile and facility-based operations. The NAID verifies our qualifications through a vigorous process of unannounced and scheduled audits. These audits ensure we’re meeting the numerous laws and regulations related to the disposal of confidential customer information.

Extensively trained NAID certification auditors verify that we have protocols in place to confirm that confidential material is properly handled through the destruction process from start to end.

The NAID has a Certification Review Board to track non-compliance reports and bring companies back into compliance. Repeat or serious infractions result in fines and certification withdrawal.

Why is NAID AAA Certification important?

Long story short, this certification means that DataSafe is held accountable for our business practices. And that means your company and customer data is securely disposed of by trusted professionals. Don’t settle for second-rate – demand the best!
